DS 4 ENGINES DEVELOPED FOR EFFICIENCY AND PERFORMANCE

DS 4 ENGINES DEVELOPED FOR EFFICIENCY AND PERFORMANCE

The new DS 4 engines, respecting the Euro 6 standard, bring customers even more power and even lower fuel consumption. The new petrol engines available on the DS 4 combine performance and energy efficiency.

THP 165 S&S EAT6: a standard-setter in fuel economy and CO2 emissions
Available with the new EAT6 6-speed automatic gearbox, the THP 165 S&S engine is an impressive performer, with fuel consumption of 5.5 l/100 km – a 29% improvement on the THP 160 – CO2 emissions of under 130 g/km, and 240 Nm of torque. These figures make it a strong competitor in its category.

The PureTech 130 S&S engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox delivers greater power and fuel efficiency:

  • fuel consumption and CO2 emissions reducing by 19% compared with its 4-cylinder predecessor (VTi 120).
  • 96 kW (130 bhp) at 5,500 rpm (9% more than its predecessor, the VTi 120) and maximum torque of 230 Nm (44% higher than the VTi 120) from 1,750 rpm (vs 4,250 on the VTi120).
  • 5l/100 km for CO2 emissions of 116g/km with 16” wheels (5.1 l/100 km for CO2 emissions of 119g/km with 17” wheels).

The new BlueHDi technology allies excellent performance with particularly low fuel consumption and CO2 emissions owing to an optimised diesel engine.

BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual, a reference in fuel economy, CO2 emissions and torque
The BlueHDi 150 S&S 6-speed manual also raises the game, with 50 Nm more torque, 25 bhp higher power, an a 20% cut in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption compared with the HDi 135. The figures speak for themselves: the new engine consumes just 3.9 l/100 km of fuel, emits a mere 100 g/km of CO2, yet develops torque of 370 Nm, 20 to 70 Nm more than its main rivals.

BlueHDi 180 S&S EAT6: fuel economy and torque
With the new EAT6 six-speed automatic transmission it offers the driver outstanding performance and fuel economy: 4.3 l/100 km for 113 g /km of CO2, and torque of 400 Nm, the highest in this vehicle category (up to 50 Nm more than its main rivals), for the best in driving pleasure.

The BlueHDi 120 engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox:

– 1,560 cm3 for maximum power of 88 Kw (120 bhp EEC) at 3,500 rpm and maximum torque of 300 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The Stop&Start function with a reinforced starter delivers a range of benefits including lower fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.
